Soni had her 3-month check-up by Dr. Harker on Monday 4/26/2010 and all went well. He said the previous lump was very slightly larger but there was no new activity and what activity that was there is not from the cancer. He thinks it is just some biological disturbance. She will continue her monthly port flush and will switch from a PET-scan to a CT-scan in 6 months (October) followed by the doctor's vist a week later. She feels fine except for the neuropathy in her feet which affects her balance.

Soni had her 3-month check-up by Dr. Harker on Monday 1/25/2010 and all went well. He found no nothing new, so she will continue her monthly port flush and will have a PET-scan in 3 months (April) followed by the doctor's vist a week later.

Dr. Harker said Soni's PET scan looked good -- no metabolic activity and the one lump they keep watching has not changed in size. She did learn that she was supposed to have a Port Flush every month, but no had ever mentioned that to us and the last time the port was even used was a year ago at her last chemotherapy treatment. They were afraid that by now it would be plugged up, but when they flushed it, everything worked just fine. So other than a port flush every month now, she is good to go for another 6 months.  Actually, she will see the doctor in 3 months for a check-up, but she won't have another PET scan until 6 months.

We met with Dr. Harker today on Fri. 7/10/09 and he asked her how she was feeling about various things... exercise, strength, balance, etc. He examined her and found no new problems or concerns.
We are to see him again in 3 months in Oct.
On 10/14/09 she will do another PET-scan will see Dr. Harker on 10/26/09 for a report of the results.

Soni had her PET-scan on the Thursday 4/09/09 before we left for Arkansas on Fri. 4/10/09.
We returned on Tue. night 4/14/09 and we met with Dr. Harker on Fri. 4/17/09 and received a very positive & encouraging report.
He said the cancer that had been there was even smaller now and there was very minimal activity. She is to see him again in 3 months in July and will probably do another PET-scan in Oct. So at the moment we are all very pleased. Keep us in your prayers.

Soni & I saw Dr.Harker on Monday, 1/12/09. Then we flew out that same morning to Terry's funeral in Missouri. We just returned Wednesday morning, so that is why I am late in posting this report. The doctor says it is not as clear as he would have liked, but the growth that was in the stomach is still very small and there is no new activity... just a few small pieces of unknown activity. So rather than taking any further action now, he wants to do a "wait & see" for 3 month. She is scheduled for another PET-scan in April.

Soni went in for her PET-scan Tuesday, 1/06/09, but of course will not know anything until it has been read and analyzed. She has an appointment to see Dr.Harker next Monday, 1/12/09 and we will know more then. Keep us in your prayers... they've been helping!
